I cant the software for my pci simple communication controller. This from the deatais tab of the hardware ids. Go to the device manager, and click on the PCI Simple Comms Controller needing the driver. Try this driver, and that would be the last suggestion I can offer.

I put a pci modem in the computer and the computer is calling it a 'simple pci communication controller'. I have a driver for the modem but when updating the driver for the 'simple pci communication controller, it doesn't recognize it as valid.

This driver is for the Compaq Presario 1200 (12XL300B). Somebody said: “This was a pain to find!” and “IT REALLY IS”. A guy from Compaq Support live chat gave me the link to get this file. This is the generic driver from Conexant and performs very well. Once you unzip it, you can find a Read Me file which is very easy to understand. Good luck!!!!

Stability:

'This software may have been good, for someone, but it didn't stop my error message telling me to install 'PCI Simple Communication Controller. I needed a different driver. I can't fault the driver for not working with an application it was not constructed to work with.'
